The race week activities will take place at the port of La Libertad, the first port built in El Salvador. The central location makes visiting packet pickup a breeze.

The official Expo represents the main meeting point for all athletes, sponsors, and cycling enthusiasts before the great day of the competition. In this dynamic space, participants not only pick up their official race kits and competitor numbers, but meet at the pre-race warm up rides, check out the renowned international brands and local businesses. Additionally, the Expo functions as a cultural and social center where mandatory technical talks. The camaraderie among athletes of different nationalities creates an electrifying atmosphere that serves as the perfect preamble to Sunday's race.

The race starts steps from the Pacific Ocean and follows the Coastal highway. You will ride along cliffs of the spectacular coastal highway, experiencing sections exposed to marine winds that will test you. The course offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and intermittently ventures into the tropical vegetation, demanding absolute concentration due to the curvy roads and constantly changing elevation.

From the port of La Libertad, you will ride past Surf City’s most famous beaches like Punta Roca, through the village of El Tunco, famous for its nightlife, black sand beaches, and steady surf breaks, and through the town of El Zonte, one of the most emblematic surf destinations in El Salvador known for its original bohemian and beach style.

Medium route riders will turn around after 35km and head back to the finish. Long route riders will continue on, until km 60. The long route has a total of 15 climbs, which are on average 1-2km long, but there are also constant and relentless smaller bumps, which in total accumulate to 1880m of climbing.

The route features complete road closures and a top-level security deployment to ensure that each competitor can focus exclusively on giving their maximum effort on the asphalt. Hydration and technical assistance points are strategically distributed.

Back at the finish line, a festive “After Race” party exclusively for finishers and their families awaits. The celebration features finisher medals, a recovery zone with sports massage, high-quality buffet food to restore your energy, hydration stations with refreshing drinks. Lively music, a toast to having conquered an international challenge of high caliber in tropical paradise and the official awards ceremony with a presentation of special recognitions will take place. Several photo areas to capture incredible finisher photos with the Pacific Ocean as the backdrop. A perfect ending to an unforgettable day at GFNY Surf City.
